Led number plate lights fitment

Any one else having the same issue. I’ve some aftermarket LED number plate lights. The ones that replace the whole lens with SMDs. One of them fits perfectly without an issue, the other one appears to go one and off as I drive. Some days it’ll be fine, others the bulb failure lights on and it’s off or flickering as I drive (wife followed for a stretch).

I’ve unscrewed it and it’s all dry and not corroded. How have you sorted this if at all?

Are the terminals pushing back ?

I did think that as when I place it back in, I’m not feeling any resistance as if the led is touching the contacts. I’ve bent it slightly but no real joy. Will take a better look on the weekend as lost light now. Thanks
