Hi all
I have installed a on/off/on rocker and led strip to replace the rear lights.
All conceptions from the original wires.
positive to the controller. Negatives door/permenant to either side of the switch and common to the controller.
All working as it should with the engine off.
Start the engine and it seems things go amiss? On opening when the courtesy lights come on, they revert to 70’w disco mode. Flashing.
It then looses its colour setting. (And the white isn’t white anyway.
Here is the simple Stuff I bought.

They are the best. I may change for a pure white set. As tgey aren't very white. And it's little dotty.

Anyway. Any suggestions as to why I'm having issues please? Or should I just add a mosfet board?

Thank you

Remember that what you are calling the 'door' negative does not come from the door switch it is controlled/supplied from the BCM.

I've been through the post. And my set up is switched exactly like that.
brown) - earth point left a-pilar
(brown/red) - connection 1 main harness (BCM switched neg 0v)
(red/black) - positive connection 1 main harness

Red/black to pos on controller.

Other two negatives. Either side of my switch (position 1and 2)

Negative from centre/common of switch to negative of controller.

I can't see why there's issues? Unless it's the controller?

I may change it?

Perhaps your controller doesn’t like the PWM dimming of the courtesy circuit

Any suggestions on a tidy controller I can get please.? Maybe with phone controls?

Post a curcuit diagram so we can see what's what. It will be easier to visualise.
