Not sure if you are talking OEM or aftermarket but from what I’ve seen they are sealed units.
As it’s failed you don’t have much to loose if you want to have a go at it yourself, as @Ads_Essex points out labour charges will probably negate any point in paying for a repair plus return postage expense.
Alternatively pick up a secondhand light matching the part number you have.

The lamps are after market and your right that they are completely sealed.
I don't want to have a go myself as I'm too heavy handed it wouldn't end well .
Looks like its going to be a new set of lamps , shame really as they're nice
Update .....
I had a chat with an auto electrician who told me it would be very unlikely that the led strip would stop working and have a look at the connections behind .
Took the lamp off , gave the wires a wiggle and boom the brakes came on !
