LED tail lights

Standard rear lights have fog on one side reverse on the other can anyone confirm if LEDs have fog and reverse on both sides ??

Liking these lights nearly got them working, I am keeping pics of everything and a record of what I'm doing but it's not a straight swap.
Will probably put together a kit with all parts and full instructions etc etc, there is a bit of wiring and disassembling/reassemble involved VW wiring schematics are wrong so it's taking a while testing cables through to confirm what's what, will let you know how it turns out but think it will run into tomorrow

They looked great just sitting in the back of your van, but for me definitely a wow effect when on mate, and I cannot believe the difference it makes.

Hi @Pauly Just seen your request, yes both sides have fog and reverse lights.

Interestingly playing with the lights while the missus was sat in the van with her foot on the brake, with rear fogs on the bottom bar of the twin bar brake light drops out probbaby because they are close together and could be confusing? Either that or my lights are not working right, maybe someone else with LEDs can check it out?

Well mission successful i got them in and working, a couple temporary connections that i need to revisit when i get some more parts but happy with the job, @Caravellet6 i took a picture earlier with the reverse & foglights turned on when i was testing them out and nothing else went off but i didnt have the brakes on so may not be relevant

Are tinted one standard? Or are there standard and tinted oem led lights?

There are both, i had standard ones but went for tinted to see what the difference is like.

I assume tinted leds are the sportline ones just like on the t5.1.

I prefer the tinted but my van will probably come with the standard red led ones. I'll swap then over.

Part numbers?

Only have the part numbers for mine which wont fit yours need to be ordered from VIN number, these only fit last years models and FYI you wont see much change from £400 just for the clusters/main units

They should fit. Led unit for led unit, only difference being the tint. I can Sell the reder led unit on. Job done.

No, there are different units, they have been changed three times already and another is just coming out
Not saying it definitely wont work but you need the correct ones for your vehicle - dont ask me what the difference is no idea

Where did you get them from? How much? How easy to fit and wire?

I don't see them, have you disconnected the side repeater?

side repeater isnt fitted as was still wiring them, they will go back on today, it was a dog to wire, door card off, mirror off, lower dash off, edge of flooring removed etc etc kinda wish i never started now and still only done one side in fact i did both rear LEDs + additional wiring quicker than one mirror indicator !!

I love looking at what you guys get up to on these vans . My first and use it for work so can't do to much to it but build and modify cars for road and track days . I had the transit custom for 2 1/2 years and on the transit forum all you get is members with faults and complaining about the dealers not fixing them. I was one of them.
