Locking van from inside!

I’ve recently bought a T6 2017 Startline conversion.

I can’t figure out the enigma of being able to lock the can from inside but disabling interior motion detector.

I’ve scrolled other posts and have exhausted the following options…

1. There is no switch to do this on B pillar.
2. The ‘double press’ lock method on FOB didn’t work.

Additionally the van auto locks after a while when on inside.

Due to go on maiden camp this weekend, so I’m terrified that it auto locks and then we all have to stay as statues to avoid waking the camp haha!!!

Oh OK great. Will try tomorrow! Thanks.

When you’re camped up and just chilling in the van, is there a way to turn the auto lock or motion sensor off?? Or is the only workaround to use the door lock buttons??

Not sure if your van has this feature, but on my van you press the front right button on the driver's door.

We had that on our first night in our new van! Ended up leaving it unlocked. Realise now that we can just use the door lock button on the drivers door.

Yep, same. And if I unlock the sliding door from the inside, only that door unlocks and all the rest stay locked. Mean if you get back in you can just lock the sliding door rather than having to reach over to the driver's door again. I do have electric sliding doors though so that might be different for manual doors.

Ah that sounds good. Yeah not sure how to lock the sliding door from the inside in isolation. I’m so new to this!!!

Just below the handle that you pull from the inside is a triangle shaped bit that is locked up when unlocked (pulling the handle when locked should unlock it with the first pull) and to lock just push it down.

My van’s a 2017 Startline conversion, as everyone says just push each lock down when inside. Pulling the handle once unlocks the door, pull a second time opens it.

I’ve also switched both interior lights off - less likely in winter but leaving the doors open for any length of time can drain your starter battery, especially if it’s not 100% (like mine). Just something to bear in mind if you haven’t already…

Haha must have wanted the ground to eat you up! On mine I think it would auto lock after a while unlocked also, which magnifies the problem!
I'm pretty sure that only happens if you unlock the van and don't open a door. It relocks after 30 seconds or so. It's a security feature in case you press the unlock button in your pocket or bag as you walk away from the vehicle. It relocks to stop theft.
