Hi, as title, I’m wanting to buy a phone power bank for hiking/backpacking, which can charge an iPhone about 2 or 3 times, I’m not wanting a non brand Chineseium one, that will set my tent on fire
Cheers

Hi @Green Giant
I was in a similar predicament and went for a Belkin. Hopefully better than some unknown brand and Belkin sold in Apple stores.
‘Currently’ led in bath topping up my iPhone with ours, lead dangling in the water.
The only zzzz might be me nodding off if stop reading latest posts!

Noco Jump starter. Useful to have a battery starter and at the same time you can use it to charge phone/laptop when needed. 1000 amp. Not cheap though at around 100 squid.

Yes , I’ve got one of these, but it’s a bit big for backpacking as I can’t remove the pos/ neg leads from it unfortunately

I see, you want the nimble champ. 10.000mah. Bought it at the airport In NY but sure they sell it in the Uk it’s the size of a credit card, 2inch thick. Never let me down when travelling light.

This is my go to medium bank from Anker useful capacity in compact size (pack of cards), got 4 of these

For pocket capacity I use these Anker ones, useful bi directional USB-C it's not PD but will give a useful fast boost to a modern phone and isn't much bigger than a decent chocolate bar

For big capacity I use the EasyAcc ones, but they seem to have dropped out of the market.

RavPower are really good, had One for more than five years. Powerful and fast charging, with various models available.

Anker also really good.

Have had an anker power bank for about 6 years now. It used to charge my iPhone 8 multiple times. Used at festivals to keep 2 iPhones charged all weekend.
Still works well with iPhone 14, just a bit slower to charge as doesn’t have usb-c.
I’m sure anker have newer versions though.

Ah cool I use the bigger ones in my pocket but a bit bulky so thanks for the suggestion for the small one - ordered. Another thing not really needed thanks to this site

A quick note for that small one you might miss it has a trickle charge mode.

Normally if the charge current from it drops quite low it will turn off to save charge. Fine for a phone but not ideal if you have something small like wireless headphones. If you hold the charge button down the bottom left will turn green and it will stay on until you manually turn it off.

I have a Charmast 26800mAh Power Bank.

Recharges things very quickly and plenty of times. USB C charge rate is fab.

Not the smallest or lightest but only a little larger than a phone and slim enough for a pocket or bag.

Allowed on planes too.

Very pleased with it.

I have to keep re-claiming it from my daughter who prefers it to hers.
