lowering options

Hello everyone!

First Post so new here. Be gentle!

I'm looking to purchase a SWB T6 soon and along with the cost to buy the van it's self I want to get a handle on other costs such as lowering.

Would anyone mind sharing advice, photos, links, costs of theirs to help and give some inspiration?

Thank you!

So much information using the search function... But as a rough guide.... If it's A T32 there's less choice of load rated wheels and tyres, but still plenty about

Wheels are tyres are subjective due to extensive range... These are 19" canteras, I picked them up for 500ish second hand but they had the wrong tyres on, so it was another 600 for 4 x eagle F1's

I then added the koni's and h&r lowering springs.... Around £1100 supplied and fitted

The drop was 40mm, the ride transformed...

You may want the updated ARB but if it's a T32 it already has one which is only 2mm diameter difference than the h&r one...

4 wheel alignment then to consider... Expect to pay up to £80-100 for someone who knows what they're doing...

You may want to add spacers... Could be another 150-200

Don't forget your spare is now the wrong size... Rolling radius more important with a 4M... Another 80 for a replacement tyre there....

The prices are a guide and could vary wildly depending on your set up / wheel choice etc..

Good luck...!

@JasonW thank you for taking the time with your reply. I appreciate that.

So the koni and h and R is a good comfortable ride? I did have a look at them and seemed reasonable cost for supply only.

Oh and looking good in that colour, sits nicely and wheels look snug!

Cheers!

Yes mate, search the forums and you'll only find positive reviews on the koni's.... one of the best for comfort and highly rated. Comfort is 80% about the shocks.., Springs just help with the height and compression with a loaded van... But remember comfort is subjective and will also vary depending on wheel size, tyre profile, amount of drop etc... Some shocks are height adjustable which is another consideration if you want that flexibility...
