Making a cuppa off leisure battery

We've decided not to put a hob into our conversion. We cook outside when camping so a hob just worked its way down the priority list when looking at available space. I think that the one time we are going to regret that is when we want to pull over for a cuppa.

I know that 12v isn't much to play with, but I'm thinking that there has to be a way to squeeze two cups of hot water out of that with relative ease (or more ease than whipping out the portable camping stove anyway). I've been a few devices on amazon/ebay, but was wondering if anyone has experience of any that won't take an hour to boil and aren't lethal.

Jetboil is your friend. Linky
I've been using one for years on my motorcycle. Quickest brew I've ever seen and all compacts down into itself.
Alpkit do amuch cheaper version which I've not tried. Linky
Its pre pre-order only

Jetboil was my first thought, but I was wondering whether I should opt for something with less gas & flame for in the van.

What ever you do, don't get a Waeco 12volt Kettle, they seems like a good idea, but takes 30mins just to get warm, doesn't get hot enough for a decent cuppa.

Thermos flask ;)

Like that, but with less forward planning would be ideal! I use up all my planning ability in the week. I'm incapable by Friday night (nothing to do with whisky, honest)

Noted! I suspect that this is going to be the problem with most options.
This looks like the most interesting option so far: http://amzn.to/2urWOCe - although still not fast.

1000 watt invertor and a small 800 microwave is the way I am going!!

Whatever you do with 12v is inefficient if you want to hear or boil water, Gas or perhaps gel fuel is the option.
Trekmates do a flame less cooking system based on chemical reaction
