Metatrak Deadlock Pro vs Scorpion S5+

Anyone have positive or negatives to say on either of these? Chris at Dav-tec installs the Metatrak and conversion company is recommending the Scorpion S5+. Both seem to have similar features - driver tags, remote app immobilisation, etc. Similar prices and subscriptions. Both have fairly mediocre scores on Trustpilot, but then most people only post when they are annoyed about something!

Chris did metatrak on mine (as well as a Ghost and thinkvue dashcam). No experience of the other. Works a treat. Get an OBD immobiliser, an engine immobiliser as well as a tracker. No complaints about the metatrak.

Hadn’t thought of that. I have a scorpion for my bike that I haven’t fitted. Wasn’t aware of the multi vehicle discount so that’s worth thinking about

I had a scorpion S5 tracker and Ghost2 fitted to my T6.1 last year and both been faultless.
Not sure we're your at but I used Mark from Safe and sound in Leeds. He fits most brand and his help and advice were second to none.
Originally I wanted an S5+ plus solely for the remote immobilisation feature but now feel more comfortable with the idea of having a separate tracker with the fobs and a separate immobiliser in the Ghost

Thanks.. Have Ghost in current van and having had a spate of attempted breakins to steal keys for our previous Golf R, I dont think I would be without one. My worry with the fobs is that they are either with the keys or if you keep them with you they come for them whilst you’re sleeping! I like the stealth factor with the Ghost as it’s likely by the time they realise its there if they get the key and try to start it, they will have lost their element of surprise and will give up.
