MFD - Gear Indication when in 5th gear flicks to 6 and back to 5 when I lift off the pedal

When I am driving in 5th, I have noticed that if I ever lift off the accelerator pedal, the gear indicator number on the MFD flicks to "6" and then back to "5" again.

I am just wondering if anyone else has had this and if its a warning of something needing sorting or just a simple bug of some kind?

Try holding it firmly in the 5th gear position next time you get chance.

No movement at the gesr stick at all when I lift off so doesn’t appear to be mechanical

Are you sure it's not the prompt to change up to 6th? If you are under load in 5th, lifting off the pedal would make it think that 6th would be more economical for the road speed, but when you press the pedal again, it decides that 5th is OK. Is there an up arrow next to 6th.

The suggested gear indicator is part of the BlueMotion package.

Nope, my MFD has the 5>6 and 6<5 format for when it’s suggesting a gear change. That’s working as normal. But whenever I lift off the accelerator in 5th just for a moment 5 changes to 6, then back to 5.
