MFD shows ‘3 - 4’

Hiya,

I was wondering if anyone knew why it randomly says 3-4 at the bottom of my dash. When I first had the van it showed the mileage there whilst driving, but now it says 3-4. ???

Do you have a DSG gear box?

Because that looks like the gear indicator when in manual with a DSG box. I can't compare directly as I have the full digital dash not just the centre MFD

Interesting it's showing the same '3-4' whilst moving (which would indeed suggest an automatic gearbox?) and then the same in the 2nd pic, when not moving and at idle. A quick search on Bing as per attached shows;

YES and they messed it up!! Thank you so much. Tried to sell me a key that started up the van but wouldn’t lock or unlock from the battery. Thank you for helping

When programming keys you need to have all original keys present (i guessing your van had the factory optional 4 keys from new) and they all have to be reprogrammed at the same time

If you dont have all four then it needs to be cleared/reset to delete any lost keys then the ones present can programmed in and those numbers will disappear

Good to know that's what it is. I've learned something (Stupid 'Bing' search! )
