MFD Winter Tyre setting?

So my BF Goodrich All terrain tyres are here waiting to be fitted and I am expecting my speedo to be slightly out etc, but was just wondering if the winter tyres functionality on the menu on the van does anything to calibrate the speedo?? Just wondering what the option is there for it not. Obviously I haven’t pressed it hence the question???

Cant answer your question, but I've wondered what that winter tyre setting is for.

In other VAG cars it gives a warning bong when you exceed the max speed for (presumably, manufacturer specified) winter tyres

Varies from manufacturer, some US a speed warning some allows a little bit of wheel spin.
