Michelin Cross Latitudes - Stone Issue

Hi all, wondered if anyone has run these tyres?

I have just fitted a set in 17” and first time I reversed the van back on the drive I picked up a puncture. Turns out it’s one of the stones off my gravel drive!

The stones are quite angular but the drive has been down for around 6 months with 10 or so other cars regularly using it with no issue.

Anyone had similar? Had gone for these tyres for strength and longevity so I’m a bit surprised?

These are on a new Crafter if it makes a difference but full rated at 111

It can happen I suppose not to me I am a little surprsed that this sort of tyre gave up quite so easily. I have received numerous punctures over the years to normal road tyres from "blackthorn!" If it is going to be a problem you may consider changing the stone type to a more rounded profile.

I would like to think that you were just unlucky but I too would query why your tyre gave up so easily.

I run them. Been all over the Alps and not had a stone puncture. Small stones get in between the treads all the time.

Good to hear Loz, fingers crossed it was just really bad luck. Will get it repaired (hopefully) and see how they go. Was supposed to be an exciting day getting the new wheels and tyres on!
