Modular steels, GOJO's or Tuff torque? Similar in quality?

Thinking of getting some modular steels as a stop gap until some decent alloys next year, they have the sort of width/offsets I'm looking for (without using spacers) so could be ideal.

I'm guessing not everyone's cup of tea looks wise, and maybe quality of paint not the best (just going off Internet rumours).... But are they all of the same quality? The main ones seem gojos or tuff torque.

Anyone had experience with either?

I like the modular steel look and the appealing thing for me is that they ought to take some abuse on poor uk roads compared with the equivalent size alloy wheel - I’m planning on running 20” with 40 profile tyres. However the main downside appears to be the comparable weight over their alloy equivalent. I say this without any expertise on the subject but I assume that as long as the wheels have a decent load rating they should be fine and as you say Tuff torque appear to be the main option on a budget - They are advertised as a 1200kg load rating I think. I’m looking at some Terrafirma wheels that are Land Rover fitment which appear to be finished better than the Tuff torque ones.

Those terrafirma look like the maxxtracc ones that t5 upgrades supplies, with the matte finish and radius around the holes. Look smart, bit nicer than the gloss finish.

Do any of them use oem radius seat bolts? The GOJO's and tufftorque use tapered seat bolts I believe.

Do the oem steel centre caps fit ok anyone know, guessing would need a 19mm head tapered seat bolt??

I had the GOJOS fitted to my previous van with BFG KO2s.

16x8 ET25 with spigot rings and tuner bolts.
The tyres were 235/70/16s.

You can fit the stock vw caps with some rubber tube like this….
