Need advice on lifespan of 150ps T6.

Hi all.
I have been looking to purchase a T5.1 or T6 to convert into a day van/camper.
I have found a van I like the look of: LWB, 4motion, 150ps, £13,000, manual, T32.
Only concern is mileage at 120,000 - thereabouts.
I was just hoping I could get some advice as to how many more miles I can expect out of this van - considering it has a full service history.
Does this sound like a reasonable expectation for a budget of about £13000? Or is there better longevity available in another van with different specifications (or lower miles) - ie 4motion isn't strictly necessary - although preferred.

Thanks.

That's only 15k miles a year - if anything more miles and longer trips is better for a diesel engine that's only done short trips.

Do you know what the van was used for previously?

The 150tdi is probably the most reliable T6, and a 150tdi manual 4motion is a rare beastie! LWB and t32 too!!

£13k seems a bit cheap, have you seen the van yet?

If it’s got a full service history, that not a bad mileage for a 2017. Mine’s 2016 and on 170k. Runs very well no regrets. Bought it four years ago with 150 on the clock. Also LWB 140/150 T32. And paid a smidge more. Plus VAT.

Haven't seen it in person yet.

I believe the van was used by a company in engineering of some sort or as an electricians'. The "limited at 70mph" stickers make me think it has been used on a motorway most often? Not sure though.

Haven't seen the van in person yet. Anything you think I should be looking out for...?

Theres a couple of startline 2017's on auto trader with the same or similar mileage so maybe the prices is good actually - 1 owners which says they're previously company owned and so probably a much better service history than privately owned!

This one?

In some pictures the body panels look slightly different colours, like it's had some bodywork. Looks clean otherwise though!

Edit: if it is that one, there's some big scratches on the fuel cap which aren't on the sliding door and there's quite a few marks on the bodywork in general which will be more obvious in person.

Yes it is that one. My apologies, I should have linked the van to begin with.
I'm not too bothered about marks on body work - as long as no dents - as I would get it resprayed a different colour.
Thank you.

Definitely been a work van and the service history photo looks like it's got a full dealer history!

I wouldn't be worried about the mileage, as a weirdo van it'll have been used regularly for longer stints, IE being properly warmed up.

Worst thing for a diesel engine is doing 5 or 10 mile trips and nothing else.

Thank you for letting me know. I cant believe i didnt notice. This discrepancy will stop me buying. Thank you.
Don’t take this as a bad thing without enquiring there could be a legitimate reason.
There’s only reason I mentioned as milage could have been tampered with in that year.
It looks to have a good amount of paperwork so worth investigating.
There’s no harm in finding out as much about the van as possible without jumping in head first. Just take your time and do loads of research the right van will come along

Thank you. I suppose my username is fitting LOL

Exactly yes if you go to dealers website it says it’s got full history so could be a good one. The 150 is the sweet spot for these engines I’ve had one they are pretty bullet proof

Yeah tbh that could be anything, it might have been that it wasn't being used by an employee and the MOT expired but when the new guy started they got it back on the road.

Last logbook April 2024, so I'd speculate the MOT expired while sat in a fleet clearing depot or in stock somewhere and was MOT'd prior to then being put on sale..?
