New Member Introduction: My Car Photos, Touchscreen issue and Fuel Flap

I’m excited to join this forum and want to say how much I appreciate the incredible knowledge and support shared by all of you. I’ve been browsing for a while and finally decided to jump in. Here are some photos of my multivan —hope you like them! When I finally wash my car, I’ll take better photos to share


As you see, im still learninig parking in my undeground park spot


I have two questions I’m hoping you can help me with:

1. My touchscreen is not working, and I’ve already ordered the replacement digitizer from a friend in China. I’m also looking to unlock a few additional features. Do I need to fully flash the radio to enable these, or is there a more straightforward method?
   
2. I’m having an issue with my fuel filler flap; it’s sticking out in a strange way. I’m not sure if I’m missing a part or if there’s a simple trick to fix it. Below photo when its closed ;/

I’ve seen a lot of inspiring retrofit projects here, and I’m planning to tackle three retrofits myself soon. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance, and I look forward to being part of this community!

Retroifts in plan:
- ACC - now i have basic tempomat.
- EPB - i wish to have more space between seats to put nice fridger.
- Front lights
- Second battery

Following the instructions and various videos that are linked in the screen faults thread I managed to replace the screen in one hour.
I also got an SD card from an online vendor which unlocked Android Auto and voice control and that was as simple as following the instructions provided with that (if I remember ritit was almost as simple as turn it off and on again)

For the fuel flap, it looks ok? There is a flap of metal that acts as a spring in the top right that helps it close (you are keeping the passenger door open first?) the passenger door then stops it from being opened (against fuel theft)

Thank you for replay!
Even when I lock the door, there’s still a noticeable gap between the fuel flap and the body, as if the spring isn’t pulling the flap tightly against the car.

Ok. Maybe the spring just needs adjusting to provide more closing strength. But I don't know how to do that, sorry.

Give the hinges and springs a good spray of WD40 or silicone
