New member - led internal light install problem

Hi, new member to the forum. Recent convert to T6 ownership, have read and watch various threads and videos. So first list of jobs have included sound deadening and carpet lining.

Know I have an issue/problem. Have installed 6 small led spot light in the headlining. Removed the standard rocker lights. Tried to wire them back in via an on-off-on rocker switch. No joy and keep blowing fuses. Where am I going wrong. The lights work, if I connect the live to the live, and the earth to the earth they are fine. However don’t go off. Then try to add the 0v switched the blow? Any help appreciated.

You shouldn't have +ve to the switch. Connect like this.

Red/Black to the +ve on the lights.

Common pin on the switch to the -ve on the lights.

Position 1 on switch - Brown

Position 2 on switch - Brown/Red

Excellent. Make sure you insulate those spade connectors too
