Hi. New to the group and I'm potentially going to look at a 2018 T6 150bhp 7Speed DSG with 204000 miles on the clock.
Looking for advice and the thoughts of the collective

:)Welcome and good luck with your purchase. I am not an expert or a mechanic but their are plenty of those on here who are both! Saturday evening are a bit quiet. That is a fair mileage in a short time, perhaps that is good. Has it a service record that is up to date?

I would highly recommend a third party inspection , AA , RAC etc. if you can, get it on the ramp. Check all service records and for peace of mind take out a warranty. Good Luck.

204,000 miles shouldn't be a deal breaker if the price reflects the mileage and condition. You probably already understand that there will be some components within the vehicle that are approaching the end of their normal useful life due to mileage related wear.

Thanks for the advice guys. All really what I expected.
Had a look at the van today. A very tidy motor with a full vw service history. Obviously a few age related things but all fixable.
That said, something just niggled me with it having the 204,000 miles on the DSG gearbox which from all that I've read do well to reach 200,000 miles. It was also the Startline trim and not the Highline as advertised.
It will however undoubtedly be the ideal van for someone
