Newbie looking for advice

Hi,
we are just about to purchase a VW T6 , this is our first (!) ... I will be using the vehicle during the week for 3-4 days commuting to work but would like to kit it out so we can go and spend a weekend away . Not looking for a full conversion , more a bed (fortywinks style etc) and anything else that will make 2 nights away more comfy .
Do we need leisure batteries / electric hook up etc .. or would a portable power station be more practical ?
Need to maintain space for a couple of inflatable SUPs also.

Any advice on some must haves would be amazing .. cheers

Is this a van built to your specification or one already built?

I'm looking at 2 or 3 vans at the moment , most have had no conversion at all .

I would worry about the camping set up later once you have the van. What is useful is if the van comes with the front swivel seats and Power latching (different to power closing) on the side sliding door. Highline model is favorable as is the automatic (known as DSG). Factory fitted LED lights would also be a bonus. A 150 engine is more than adequate.
