No power steering after pipe replacement

Hi,

I replaced the clutch on my t6 t32 at weekend and everything went well until I started the van and reversed off the drive. The high pressure power steering pipe had bent and snagged on the auxiliary belt causing it to burst. This caused the steering to be erratic when turned. I quickly got the van back o to the drive and turned it off. There was steering fluid everywhere.

I replaced the pipe and fluid. Then did some full locks without the engine on and used around 700ml of fluid.

Starred the van up and went to rotate full locks again and there was vibration in the steering and some stiff spots. I tried to work through it but eventually the steering went stiff. I can still hear the pump working and I have also checked that fluid comes out the return pipe when removed. Any advise would be appreciated. If the pump is pumping round is the still OK? What other checks can I do?
Thanks
Dan
