Noisy door catch..

Getting some strange creaks and groans from this door hinge..wd 40 made it a bit quieter ..grease maybe ?

mines doing something similar on my 2018 van.

looks like the hinge is worn.

though i did start out with the above, WD40, spray lube etc etc etc.

It has been suggested that white grease is ideal.

Mines a 2021 and barrel had stopped rotating (rust inside) and tried WD40 etc. VW just replaced full door hinge (under warranty fortunately)
