Non Genuine Steering Rack experience

Hey folks,

After peoples experience.

Like a lot of people, my 2019 Steering Rack is starting to fail, I’ve had low fluid and I can hear that lost fluid sloshing about in the near side rubbergator for the rack.

What are peoples experiences of using no genuine racks? Are there any brands to go with/ avoid?

I’ve thought about joining genuine and can get the part for £1250 (inc consumables). Whereas I can get a new rack from PCS for about £500.

Keen to get any thoughts/ feedback.

(Refurb isn’t an option as I can’t be without the van whilst it’s away)

Can refurb be done on a return basis. ie you get some money back when you send them your old one after the swap?

Good shout. I imagine you can get a surcharge on one.

I’ve read a lot of things about this years vans rack being faulty (2019) so not sure if I’m kicking a problem down the road.
