OEM rear interior roof lights being left redundant

I'm about to fit a new roof lining and 6 led downlights fed from the leisure battery.
Is it ok just to unplug the 2 OEM lights and leave the wiring intact in the roof space incase I ever need to reconnect them.

Cheers. That's what I thought. Seems I may have a problem with the van battery holding a charge. Just trying to rule things out...

I did exactly what you describe and have had no battery charge issues.

Thanks Pete. Downlights fitted and working.
Wasn't expecting it to cause any charging issues.
Victron app showed van battery charging at 12.2v on the drive to work and 13.3v for leisure battery. Compared to 13.3v and 14.7v on the drive home this evening. Not sure how reliable/accurate the victron Bluetooth app is
