Hey Folks,

An OEM Tailgate Camera wiring question – 2019 T6 Highline MIB Large Screen.

I purchased the OEM rear camera, and recently purchased the wiring loom from AliExpress (don’t judge!).

I’ve spent some time looking through the wiring diagrams for the T6 OEM camera retrofit and I’m at a bit of a loss as to where to connect my three wires (instructions I have are conflicting me a little from other online sources).

Video Feed to the blue block Pins 6 & 12 were easy peasy, however I have x3 wires to fit and as mentioned the instructions are telling me different things:

1 White - with Pre-crimped end (suggesting it connects to a BCM/ Fuse Board perhaps?)

1 Brown - with ring terminal (This is ground, but I don’t know if this should be ground to the chassis, or some wires (behind the radio Pin 17 & 18 is being mentioned in my instructions)

1 Blue – no terminal (Reverse signal? I’m instructed to splice this to the Green and Black, but I’m conflicted on where exactly I can do this.

Could anyone please give me a bit of guidance to get over the line with this part.

On my OEM tailgate camera: Red +12V, Yellow Reverse Signal and Brown is gnd.
So from your connected lead: White is +12V, Blue is reverse signal and brown is gnd.

Thanks Ian.

It’s just a case then of understanding where to install the wires too.

I know I can add the white to the Fuse Board. But I’m not sure about the signal. Have seen it can be tapped in near the BCM to Green and Black, but could be problematic.

More forum searching required.
