Oil leak but from where?

Hi I have an engine oil leak coming from under my Van but cannot work out where it is coming from?

It appears to be coming from between the sump and gearbox joint, possibly the hole on the sump side to gearbox but cannot be 100% sure. Oil does not appear from any higher than the top of the sump.

I hope its not the fly wheel bolts or crank seal :(

I'm no expert on these motors, but my first thought was rear crankshaft oil seal.

Could it be coming from higher up...crank case seal?

Give it a scrub with brake cleaner, see where it first re- emerges. It does, however, look like a potential box off job to locate and fix whatever it may be.

I gave it a clean up but still not sure where it is coming from, I'm thinking either clutch seal side or the front of sump join.

I guess if I dropped the sump and could re-seal and then also see if oil is coming from the crankshaft oil seal as the sump removal exposes some of the flywheel area?

Oil appears to come from somewhere in the red area

is that after the clean and new test drive?

oil is everywhere. . . looks worse than before?

Its after the clean, no more or less than before just way it looks in photo, the 2nd photo above was after a clean too.

As I say it appears to start from front of pan join or from the holes on the side.

and its engine oil that your loosing?

the clutch slave cylinder used the break fluid reservoir.

there is a sticker under the dash that shows the ENGINE code. . .
