Older V-Dubs

I love threads like this. @3crispies , some great resto work there mate. I have always wanted to be working on a beetle, but don't have much space around. One day will get down to it ... meanwhile will just feast my eyes on your awesome handiwork.

thank you for sharing.

Tbh beetle costs nothing for running costs no tax, no mot and £75/yr ins ideal for tesco runs and plus side mrs cant fit much in it.

Tbh both kids have been in it since toddlers to prom night, great trips although not always as fast as we would like always got us back. Guess what has to jump start T6 when battery was flat
Try this!

Just got myself a Bug - a ‘68 model registered in late ‘67. Always wanted one and now I’ve got one alongside the T6
Starts, stops and goes but a selection of repairs required. A rolling project that’s tax and mot exempt and older than me!

Ohh...good to see another tinkerer here!...my 81 Golf GTI is a work in progress, i bought it knowing it was generally solid but with a few cosmetic issues that the previous owner was scared to tackle. The work is still ongoing, it was missing a rear bumper when i bought it so picked up a pair of 'small bumpers' so need to do some more cosmetics to delete the clips that are currently there from the original bumpers...saving that for when the weather warms up a bit!
