Only starts with a jump!

Hi

I use the van once a week for a round trip of 40 miles. Over the last 12 months the battery has died randomly and needed a jump or recharge. Drove it on Wednesday fine, came to it yesterday, wouldnt start, click and slight turnover. Jump started it with jump pack and OK. Came to it today, same again, jumped it again and took it down motorway for a 30 min drive. Turned it off and wouldn't start. Started OK with a jump. Came home checked battery voltage was 11.5v. So charged it from 11 this morning until now, fully charged. Still won't start when I turn ignition orange coil is flashing and it's making a beeping sound. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

My guess is it needs a new battery. It’s just not holding charge. Just had the same on my car. Sorted with a new battery from Halfords.

And here we go to - which battery?
Get the biggest and bestest. There seems to be a Bosch/Varta 95 amp that just about fits in the space. Just sayin.

Battery type '019' is the biggest that will fit in the space, i'm not a brand snob, as i've hd expensive and cheap batteries fail before they should.. so picked up one of these - 019 AGM Powerline Start Stop Car Battery 12V 95Ah

Point to note, the brains of the operation needs to be told a new battery is installed, especially important if your moving from EFB (which no one likes) to AGM (the best option). you will either need the kit needed to program yourself or get someone to code it for you.

Sounds like the starter battery is goosed.

Get a new one fitted and coded in.

Then find a way of keeping it charged up every now and again. Maybe add a solar panel in the windscreen or plug it into the mains charger once every month.
