Hi everyone
Just wanted to share our first pub stopover of the season with you.
The Dog and Partridge, Langsett, on the A628, Sheffield S36 4HH. Free to stay overnight if using the pub, just ring ahead and tell them. Car park is quite big and flat and overnight there was a bit of noise from passing traffic but not much. Food is not bad, average prices too. They had one real ale on which was Bradfields Blonde and well kept.
Breakfast was offered at time of booking but they had to decline it due to a family emergency. Instead we went to the Windmill cafe around 4 miles away which was very nice.
Loads of nice walks around Langsett and not far from the trans Pennine trail.

Happy camping everyone

Looks ideal for walking from!
Really good walking area and we had planned to leave the van at the pub but because of the alternative breakfast venue, we decided to park up where the circular walk started less than a mile away. The walk we did is below.
A bit boggy in places but not bad for February. We were very lucky with the weather as yesterday (Saturday) was the best day for quite a while.

I stayed at the Langsett Wagon & Horses inn a few years ago, there's a famous MTB route there (which can be walked too) call cut gate. Highly recommend

You can start at either end as it's an out and back, in the middle it's extremely remote even though you're only a few miles from civilization!
