Park Pilot not working

I have a T6 T32 converted panel van that has a factory fitted reversing camera and parking sensors.

The rear camera has randomly stopped working, with the sensors still operating as they should.

Has anyone seen this before, or can recommend where to start looking to resolve the issue?

Cheers!

Had any recent work done?

Is the screen on the head unit switching over and displaying the park pilot overlay but no camera image or is the head unit not switching?

When you put it in reverse for the first time, the icon on the right appears as usual when reversing but the camera doesn't display - the screen is just black.

Then when us use it the next time it shows the bird's eye view of the van with the sensor range displaying at the front and rear.

Is it a tailgate and if so is it closed properly?

If its not quite closed it will switch the camera off and the birds eye view of the van will show as allowing for the extended tailgate as if fully open

Thanks for your reply, I've just tried closing the boot particularly hard but it hasn't helped. I've scanned it on Carista and there is a fault for 'Rearview camera: no signal', although the headunit was retrofitted. The van came with a factory camera but no android auto, so I had the better factory headunit fitted.

It's probably not linked to your issue but my reversing camera display has started to play up. It's an aftermarket Kenwood camera fitted to the original Discover media head unit.
Occasionally the screen just shows the park pilot display rather than the camera output. However, if I select neutral and wait for the display to time out then, go back into reverse, the camera image is usually shown.
I'm fairly sure that this started the same time as my touchscreen started to fail. As this failure can create both deadspots and phantom touches, I wonder if it is cancelling the camera display.
Eventually I will replace the screen overlay and am hoping that this cures the intermittent camera fail.

I had problems with intermittent reversing sensors and camera. Turned out it was swarf which had dropped from the poptop installation into the connectors under the drivers seat. I took the connectors out and blew out the swarf, and it all worked again.

The connectors are at the back of the driver’s seat base, held on a bracket you can see if you push the seat forwards.
