Hi all, about to fix my wind out awning but where ever I position it the passenger door hit the awning bars. Is this normal and you just don't use the passenger door when the awnings out or am I doing something wrong?

can you not adjust the legs longer
Yeah I can do, just thought if the canopy was level the door would open underneath it. I guess I just have to raise the leg a bit to get the clearance. I've only fitted the brackets and couldn't find any info on the position of the awning relative to either the rear or front of the van

Shouldn't be level anyway - if it rains it will collect and could wreck the canopy.

Ours always looks skew-whiff when out, front high enough to clear the passenger door, and rear significantly lower.

Yup, every time, I don’t think I have much paint left on the top of the door. It’s usually at this stage I then realise I need to open the door again to fit the external screens so I ask my wife to hold the leg up so it clears.
