Passenger side mid undertray 'joining panel' removal?

Hi,
Just in the process of fitting some running boards, the middle passenger side bracket requires two holes located under a small undertray section that has no visible fixings to remove.
Does anyone know how this is removed?
There is some kind of fixing under the inner flat part and the whole panel turns slightly so I'm assuming it's a push fitting. Just wanted to check before I snap something.

and if someone has fitted them before did you manage to replace this part to protect the underside?

It's a push fitting. A small prybar underneath it helps to lever it out.
