Pin hole corrosion in sink

Hi there.

I have a bought a t6.1 with only 6000 miles on it 2 months ago. As you can imagine is immaculate as just not been used.
Have had a couple of trips out in it but after the last one the missus left one of them hand scrubbing brushes that have the liquid in the handle in the sink with a plastic bowl.
When I've come away in it this weekend the sink has corroded through in several.places after only 2 weeks!
Is this normal?

I know I'm looking at a full slink/hob replacement as I can't imagine it's repairable

It's a domestic / smev 9222 for reference

Picture added.

Thanks in advance for any advice

I’ve seen it happen before, probably caused by contamination due to pressing. A good TIG welder should be able to put a spot weld on it and it could be polished out.
Alternatively apply a patch of epoxy or even self adhesive sound deadening on the back side, it will be water tight.
I’ve been down the road with chasing warranty on Smev items, they aren’t very cooperative.
