Plastic Trim On Seat Bases

I fitted some swivel bases to my 2019 Kombi seat bases but now the plastic trim on the back of the bases doesn't fit back on.

If I put some metal spacers in to raise the swivels I'll have to lengthen the bolts than came with it.

Is there any way to fit it other than cutting the plastic & sticking it back on?

Cut the plastic, or get some from Kiravans that have a much flatter surface, where you can mount electrical or heater outlets.

I fitted a swivel to my passenger side just changed the plastic for phenolic ply boards I made. I've got electrics under both seats with sockets for various things, so needed panels anyway.

If those seat base covers are the right colour, and they look like they might be, I will take one of them off your hands (or maybe both of them).

I saw Edge Camper Vans solution, which was to cut the base. I bought a used plastic trim at Camperjam to cut. A very kind member put the photo below on the forum showing where to cut. Fortunately I have a mate who is an expert with a circular cutter who did it for me. Works just fine.

Yeh that seems to be the only way but it's a pity to have to do that. Maybe I'll mske some sort of cubby box instead that slides out.

Thanks for offer but I am going to hand onto them as I might be taking out the swivels again in future.

Ditto, also adding some footwell lights

What’s the best way to fix them? I thought about Velcro, magnets or silicon (which would be a pain to get off).
I have a heater under the driver seat and a leisure battery under the passenger seat (with usb ports) on the board.

If they are the solid ones not thin plastic they are screwed from behind with small screws through the metal seat bases.
The seats need removed to do this but they are easy to remove. Just 4 bolts.

I used circular 15mm x 3mm Rare Earth DIY Industrial Strong Ring Neo Neodymium Disc Magnets with 4mm screw holes to secure my carpeted 9mm ply to my seatbases: 1 in each corner of the ply and one in the middle at the top. They don’t move.

As above...

Screwed from behind.

Small neodymium magnets

Velcro

I've used velcro for now on my OVANO seat base covers...
