After removing the bulkhead there is a gap between the cab headlining and the rear rood lining.
So I'm going to get some ply roof.

Question is do I go with the same 2 piece layout as OOEM or just get a 1 piece roof?

Any advantages / disadvantages?

Thanks

Having just removed and replaced the roof I would say 2 pieces is probably much easier to fit . Unless it’s going to bother you to look at the join.

I struggled to fit 2 pieces. 1 piece could be extremely difficult, not least because it is very heavy.

VW do the replacement panel which is slightly longer than the one you have just removed

Thanks for the comments, I think 1 piece would be better aesthetically, but I was concerned about the weight and fitting. Guess 2 piece is the one to go for. Thanks

Anyone got any tips on cutting a new headlining panel? Specifically the rear panel for a LWB, I don't know how to get a play board to fit, as it doesn't fit on an 8x4 sheet.

You can buy5.5mm 3050 x 1525mm plywood but make sure you ask for HTO rather than pop core
