Ply seat back - double seat

Greetings.

Just fitted some new seats and want to put ply on the back of the double to use as a table / be able to climb over.

i was going to cut one out myself but for £20 odd quid, I can get one already done on eBay so may as well do that.

But how do you guys fit it? Will it stay put if slid in and cover out over, or does it need drilling or glueing?

Morning,

The guys at Vankraft have done a handy little vid for fitting the folding bracket which also includes fitting a ply back. T5 / T6 double folding passenger seat conversion. M1 crash tested. Fits all models 2003 to 2024.

Ahh, so it does just slot in and then refit the cover up around it nice easy job, I’ll get a backboard ordered thanks!

Was just about to click on buy it now and realised it’s only 5.5, is that the norm and strong enough to climb over or sit on do you think?

It seems alright to me, we use the folded down seat to climb into the pop top. No issues with it so far. Not sure you’d get anything thicker in, don’t forget it rests on the metal frame in the seat.
