Having had my T6 for a few weeks I noticed that there was a slither of daylight showing to the very top of the pop top fabric where it meets the roof when it was up. I happened to be taking it to a VW conversion specialist for another issue and happened to mention this to him and he had a look to see what was happening. It seems that the canvas has been badly installed using staples that are too short and are not fixing to the wooden batten that goes around the top of the roof. He found a couple more spots where there is daylight showing and said that in time the staples would all come loose.
So now I am faced with the whole roof being taken off, the canvas being reattached properly, the canvas re-stretched and refitted to the van so that I don't have the same issues going forward and this is not going to be cheap.
The van has been recently been converted, not by the seller I bought it from, but he purchased it from the person who converted the van.
Slightly gutted that I need to go to such an expense so early after purchasing the van.
