Going to ask a question to which I think I already know the answer, I am in the process of trying to get a van built and due to lead times etc it's all looking a bit difficult, I can get the bed and the interior fit out done but the pop top I want has a longer lead time.. If I did not carpet the roof could I get the pop top fitted later.. This is also going to be the family car and need to get it some form of car shape for a 2 week holiday to Devon / Cornwall in 10 weeks but do not need to sleep in it for then.. I know from speaking to builders roof is always first but thought I would ask the question . Os the seat system I am putting in means I can easily remove them. I did not know building a camper would be so complicated..

I had my HiLo retrofitted after my van was carpeted, insulated and soundproofed with no problem at all.

Cheers thank you, just rang the manufacturer’s who also fit and they said not a problem we do it all the time :) …. So that’s me sorted get the van built without the roof then get roof fitted later
