Hi all
New to the forum and would appreciate any advice please.
Bought a 2019 swb T6 2.0 diesel recently and to cut a longer story short developed a problem whereas my wife was driving it and just cut out and wouldn't start
Called out AA and was diagnosed as what aa guy thinks is timing belt become loose but not snapped due to possible tensioner seize problem.
Bought from a dealer with 3 month £3000 warranty so it is going in on 21st August on a flat bed to be diagnosed the extent of the damage
If i am super lucky lucky lucky [fingers and legs crossed] best case scenario new timing kit and may turn over with no issues.
My question is that if more extensive damage has occured to top end and maybe even possibly worst case bottom end too,
I live in Dorset and am struggling to find a decent garage that is willing to get involved in top end rebuild even!
Nearly everyone i speak to just keeps banging on about putting a new engine in at about £14000!!!! and not being arsed to fix the existing engine!
This seems criminal when engine only done 45000 miles!!
Can anyone point me in the right direction if i may need some engine repairs?? There surely must be some old Skool mechanics around willing to rebuild!
As i say i live in Dorset so obviously more local the better
Any reccomendations would be very much appreciated
