Power steering input

I have recently converted a 2016 t6 shuttle into a camper, one of the main differences I have found between the t6 and my old t5 is the extremely light steering. Whilst I am getting used to it, and it causes no problems, I have tried without success to find if the steering power assist can be re programmed - I believe my van has electric rather than hydraulic power steering.
Any input appreciated
Thanks
Steve

How is the van sitting since the conversion?
With the weight in the back you most likely will find that the rear is slightly lower and this the front sitting higher.
Post conversion mine was scarily light on the steering and it literally had no feedback, always felt like it was under steering on roundabouts.
A trip to CRS sorted it and the steering feels as weighty as power steering should do.

As above, my Kombi work van which is heavily loaded was the same until @CRS Performance sorted the suspension to get the van sitting level and the steering feeling as it should. All T6's still use traditional hydraulic power steering, not until T6.1 did VW move to electro-hydraulic steering to allow for self parking, lane assist etc.

I have read about the tail down attitude after conversion causing problems. I have fitted the Koni/ eibach system supplied by crs, and taken care to ensure the sill at the rear is 40mm higher than at the front. Even before conversion, when the van looked like it was on stilts and the rear was massively high, steering was still extremely light. My local garage today did 4 wheel alignment for me, and after their test drive they commented on the lightness of the steering which prompted this post.
This van was based on a wheelchair mobility conversion - is it possible that the steering assist could be boosted?

Yes very likely, there's definitely a company who provide this service, I believe they make alterations to valving in the rack - so it may be a case of put up or pay up I'm afraid.

Yes probably lightened the steering. They do something with the steering rack.
