Powering an amplifier, main battery or leisure?

Hi all, just adding 2 small amplifiers to power the sub and front components, just wondering what people do; power from the vans or from a leisure battery? I have a 100ah lithium battery under my drivers seat. Thanks in advance for any advice

Mine's on the main starter battery and I don't run the amp unless the engine is running as it flattens it in no time.

you can take the feed from either, provided its fused and cabled correctly.


assuming the lithium has a dc-dc charger etc etc. . .


if it was me id take the power feed from the closest source.


so id mount the amps and sub under seat, take the power from the lithium, use chassis as ground, then run the sterea feeds along the cable tunel up to the radio.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm going to put it off the leisure battery .

Personally we take it from the leisure , not because it’s easier but less chance to picking any noise up . also will not flatten your starter battery if you decide to run it for a while when sat up
