Really annoyed

Well this weeks job was to install flush fitting windows in both my sliding doors. Watched all the how - to videos on youtube and followed them to the letter. I put the glue/bond onto the window rather than on the metalwork as stated on youtube although a couple of videos showed people putting it on the metal. Used the triangle on the gun and got a good mountain of glue around the window.
they have stuck well and I have perfect gaps
Was feeling quite proud of my achievement until the "hose pipe test" today, One is perfect but one is leaking, possibly from the top or the front edge where the interior slider door handle is. :cry:
Any advice or tips on what to do to cure the problem???
I do have still have a little "bond" left but not sure how to get it in the tiny gap on the outside of the van?
There is some bond (only a little) that has crept through on the rubber "U" trim so I assume that has held the window off the metalwork by a tiny amount letting the water through
:cry::cry::cry:

Sorry to hear, I feel your pain having had a leaky barn door window when we did ours.

The glue should always go on the metalwork, that way there's no chance of catching it with a finger as you pick up the glass. I don't recall ever seeing a video of someone applying sealant to the glass first.

There is a product you can get to inject in to the gap and seal your leaks without removing the window. I can't remember what it's called though. @Rioja John what is it? You recommended it to the other member with a leak the other month.

Captain Tolley's will work if it's a really fine crack, otherwise mask everything of and syringe in some Sika EBT would be my approach.

Another recommendation for captain tolleys, worked a treat for my install when I had a very small amount of water ingress!

Thanks for your replies, it was a Combe valley campers video that I used as that is where I purchased the windows from, thinking about it I now understand, I should have put the "bond" to the metal first doh!
Will order the Tolleys, but dont know how to apply, I realise I can drop it down the top of the window but am worried it may be the slider handle side that is letting in the water
