Going to be installing a pair of rear 3/4 dummy windows over the next few weeks. Bought full kit and trims from THQ.

Have watched the install videos and feel relatively comfortable doing so.

On the sliding door side, do you need to install any differently to accommodate the opening door or do you still install and set flush (with the trim peice) to the side window as you’d do on the offside?

All the videos have been on offside so just looking for some pointers

Thanks

I fitted mine too close and chipped he corner when i opened the door for the first time. I replaced it straight away but i would just try the door before you leave it to set fully and you should be fine.

No different to other side, just make sure the closing door glass covers the edge of the rubber strip all the way up when the door is closed (more to hide colour of the van peeking through than anything else)
Leave a gap in the sealant in the bottom run so you let the space behind the dummy window breathe.
I put matt black vinyl on the panels before fitting the glass to further hide the colour behind the glass.
The glass is stuck to the vinyl so if I decide to cut the windows out in the future I can peel the adhesive off and start afresh without damaging any paintwork.

Thanks both

Good idea on the vinyl beforehand. Was a consideration that I may want a change / remove in the future but be stuck with having bond on the panels.
