Rear barn doors don’t open from the outside t6

Hi all, I’m new so sorry for the dumb query. My t6 opens on central locking. But the back doors (barn) click, and from the inside the lock appears to unlock, but when outside you cannot open them (key also doesn’t work). I have to go inside and open it. When it’s been opened from inside it opens fine again from the outside. So I’m assuming it’s a lock issue. It also sounds like there is something loose in there or at least I think that’s where the rattle is coming from. Any guidance would be super

Do you have a pop up - down button on the inside handle try popping it up and down. Can’t remember if it should be up or down - did that on mine and sorted it.

Mine has done this occasionally but I am able to open from outside by pushing the handle in first before pulling, that seems to allow the handle to "catch" and open. Worth a try in case yours is the same.

Mine was doing exactly the same(t5) I took the panel of the door and found one of the metal rods had popped off reconnected and has been fine since

Agreed.
I've had the same issue and I found the same solution.
Fixed longer term bylubricating joints & pivots, including taking off bits like the door trim inside for better access.
