Rear interior lights wiring - adding a switch

Hi all, I'm adding 2 additional OEM lights to the roof for when the vans being used for work but could some kind fellow point me to the right bit of the wiring diagram for which wires to splice into.

Also im wanting to fit a switch to isolate the rear interior lights from coming on with the doors please.

For when we're in "night time" mode and not wanting them to come on with the doors and avoid having to remember to physically move each light to the off position

Thanks

Would be helpful to know whether it is T6, T6.1, panel van, Kombi, Caravelle, etc.

I would think the most convenient place to splice in would be the existing lights.

For the switch the spot would be just before the main loom splits to "front "rear light. Take the ceiling panel off and it will be obvious where the main loom is (on the ceiling left just above left sliding door).

Perfect, thanks. And I guess if I switch the earth, that will remove the positive and timed positives ability to turn them on

Thanks, sounds like a really easy project then, just switch the ground open and we isolate the lights from coming on

Brown/red is the switched -ve from the BCM. Put a switch in this and it will prevent the lights coming on with the doors.
