Rear luggage light

I’ve been struggling for 2 hours trying to get these rear boot lights out to replace with leds. I know the metal spring is on the right but I can’t shift the light over enough to pop it out. Should be simple but I’m doing it wrong.

Popped it out a bit for the pic so you can see it. I’m sliding left and trying to pull it out from the right hand side where the metal spring seems to be. Wiring plug should be on the left.

Any tips? Couldn’t find anything in the search.

You need to put the left side back in and pull out on the right side, pivoting on the left side until it pops out. Don't try to push in the spring.
