Rear seatbelt panels

Hi, I'm currently carpeting the van, just wondering if the original "cardboard' rear seat belt panels are sufficient or if I should make new from 3mm ply instead?

Once it's carpeted you will never know but personally i would remake them just because lol........If your thinking about making new ones then do it as you will always wish you had.

Thanks, bought a load of ply yesterday to make all the side, rear door and roof panels. I'm sure there will be enough spare to make the small seat belt parts.

Do iiit!........ Then sell the hardboard panels to someone who's hardboard panels have snapped cos they didn't make new ones out of ply!
I made some of ply, then wrapped them in matt black vinyl instead of carpet, as the carpet on the original ones went uber fluffy were kids scratchy little filthy maulers were constantly grabbing at the belt, matched the leather seats too.
