Rear Seatbelt Wall Panel

I’m carpeting the interior of my van and at the part where the rear seatbelts of my Kombi go through the panel. Is there an easy way to separate the seatbelt from the panel without undoing the bolt at the top (what kind of fitting is it anyway - looks like a 12 point star thing). Or do I just cut a slot through the carpet an carpet in situ

Nope and you need to undo the bottom bolt as well, you need a 10 mm spline bit for the top
