I'm about to have my LWB T32 Kombi converted to Caravelle rails with a triple bench seat.
It has got me thinking about the best way to make the most of the rear space behind the seats.
Currently thinking about building a box out of phenolic ply, with a large lockable drawer and a double skin lid so one part of the lid can fold up if required (with gas struts) to make a bulkhead. The box would double up as the final 3rd of the bed when the seats are laid flat.
The fixings to the Caravelle rails would be inside the box so it can't be removed when locked. Security is really important because the van is used on photoshoots to store equipment.
Just thought if there is anything existing people have seen before I go down the custom build route?...
