Recall Of Non Series Models From 2007 - 2018

Hallo to all.
In Germany for some Weeks people are getting letters from VW because of a Recall of their Busses.

Theese are always Pre Series Models (T5, T5 GP and T6) which have been sold "illegally" because VW is not shure what was inside the car. (Pre Series Firmware, Pre Series Hardware etc.)

Any one outside Germany is aware of this ?

I never heard about this before.
And VW assumes that their vehicles lifetime is 150000 km only !!!!!?????

As said VW sold Pre Production cars, now they wont to buy them back.
Probably in Germany that car's will be taken out of busines even if the owner does not wont to sell.
VW is probably paying money on Basis that 150 000 KM is the Live-Time of a T6.

So 150 000 KM ==> Zero value.

Do they know how many vehicles are affected ?
Are they being recovered due to safety or emissions issues ?

That’s interesting. I used to work at Rover Group, and late pre-production vehicles like this used to go into the company fleet either as pool cars or staff company cars, and I think they then were scrapped.

Pretty alarming read @MicP. I don't know why the many thousands of us VW owners do not get a petition up demanding that VW be more transparent regarding re-calls of any description???
