Remove speed limiter T6.1

Hi folks, does anyone know if removing a speed limiter on a T6.1 flatbed van HAS TO be done at a main VW dealer garage. Based in the northwest (Stockport area) any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm actually not sure about the T6.1, but the way it used to be done was with 2 limiters. The soft limiter was adjustable, but the hard limiter was only ever adjustable downwards, and dealers could not override it.
As soft limiter can be altered with decent diagnostic equipment, but a hard limiter can only be altered by a remapping company, or by replacing the ECU.
